About Las Flores
Las Flores is a beautiful community made up of about 1500 homes, nestled into the hills off Oso and Antonio Parkways in an unincorporated portion of Rancho Santa Margarita. Other adjacent cities include Mission Viejo, Coto de Caza and Ladera Ranch.
Homes range in size from the 1200 to square foot town homes in the charming gated community of Sea Country, to the over 4,000 square foot floorplans of the Summits on the hill. Many homes have spectacular views of Saddleback Mountain, city lights, or rolling hills. The drive through the community on tree lined Meandering Trail is reminiscent of the charm found in neighborhoods of old Orange County.
Las Flores began in 1996 and construction completed in 1999. In a place as large as Orange County, there is a sense of a small town feel in many ways.
Children go to the pedestrian friendly and Blue Ribbon school, Las Flores Elementary. On that same campus is award winning Las Flores Middle School. The school district is Capo Unified. The community is well designed with pathways, steps, and crossing guards, making a walk to school easy and community friendly.
Amenities in Las Flores are tremendous. Neighbors enjoy several parks – Oak Tree Park, Summit Park and the park steps from the Olympic size pool. Las Flores pool is frequently the venue for birthday parties or summer get togethers. Summertime will also find the local swim team practicing at the Las Flores pool. The nearby park has playground equipment and a 1/2 court basketball court overlooking the majestic Oak Trees.
Summit Park has a tot lot, playground equipment and mini water park for the kids. There is also a daytime tennis court, a large field for sports and a baseball diamond where you can always find the summertime Sandlot Baseball for the kids. This park is another great place for picnics and summertime parties.
Looking for an easy commute? Las Flores is just about 3 miles east of the 5 freeway. Centrally located, you can reach the 241 toll road just over the hill, in a moment. Looking for shopping – you won’t have to go far and there are plenty of choices. Restaurants, groceries, doctors offices, clothing, are all easily found within a couple miles north or south on Antonio – either Ladera Ranch or Rancho Santa Margarita.
Looking for close proximity to the beach without the beach prices? Only 15 to 20 minutes (depending on the driver:) ) you’ll find yourself at the beach.
This warm, friendly, convenient community of Las Flores is welcoming you.
